Whistleblower protection training – why raising staff awareness is crucial
The HinSchG requires companies with 50 or more employees to establish and operate internal reporting channels. But a reporting channel alone is not enough: it only works if your employees know it exists – and how to use it. Many potential whistleblowers hesitate because they are unsure: What exactly can I report? Am I protected afterwards? What happens to my report? This uncertainty leads to violations being reported too late or not at all – with potentially significant consequences for the company.
Without Proliance Academy HinSchG training:
- Violations are reported too late or not at all – often with significant consequences
- Employees hesitate due to uncertainty: What am I allowed to report? Am I protected afterwards?
With Proliance Academy HinSchG training:
- Whistleblowers act with confidence – without overreacting and without hesitation
- Your company actively demonstrates that compliance is a core value

The data controller, usually the management, is responsible for data protection training. The internal data protection officer monitors the training sessions in accordance with Article 39 Paragraph 1 lit. b GDPR and often conducts them in consultation with management. The training sessions can be held as on-site in-house training or as online training, which can be completed independently of time and location.
All employees who handle personal data must be regularly trained in accordance with the GDPR. According to Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR, processing includes the collection, storage, transmission, deletion, organization, retrieval, consultation, and disclosure of personal data. This primarily affects employees in Marketing, Sales, Field Service, HR, Accounting, Finance, Customer Service, and IT.
The successful implementation of the GDPR hinges on the knowledge of employees. Data protection training raises awareness of risks and potential hazards, and provides practical guidance for day-to-day work. It prevents data breaches from occurring due to a lack of knowledge or inattention. Upon successful completion, employees receive certificates as documented proof of compliance with the accountability requirements under Art. 5 Para. 2 GDPR.
We work with you to develop training concepts at various competency levels (basic and advanced courses). In addition to training on current topics (such as a data protection course on home office), we also provide further training for responsible positions and employees from various departments. This also includes training or a course for data protection officers. With our innovative data protection software Proliance 360, your company's data protection management becomes fully digital – including for the employee training, which can now be conveniently conducted at a time you specify online as an online data protection training.
Some of our service packages already include licenses for the basic training of your employees: All our data protection solutions include training licenses. If required, you can book additional data protection training beyond the included licenses.
Our data protection training provides:
- Fundamental principles and the most important innovations of the GDPR in direct comparison to existing legislation
- Awareness of everyday situations where data protection is relevant
- Raising awareness for data protection in daily professional life.
Successful participation by your employees is rewarded with a certificate. This provides you with significant documentation for authorities regarding your data protection measures, in addition to raising your employees' awareness in the area of data protection.
